I’ve been a lover of pets for as long as I can remember. From barn puppies of my youth to my dear and faithful Pippa, a staffy/pit mix, to my current dynamic duo, Bindi and Brodi, Patterdale Terriers(aka,..terrierists😅) my life has been blessed with furry companionship every step of the way.

These little mountain dogs, Bindi and Brodi, are not just pets; they’re family. Whether I’m hitting the trails for some cross-country skiing or grinding away at work, they’re right there by my side, spreading joy and warmth wherever they go. 🏔️🐾
And let’s not forget about our extended pet family. My son Daxton, at age 6, had a green Anole lizard named Jonas who was his best friend. Even though Jonas wasn’t a conventional furry friend, he brought just as much love and companionship into our lives. 🦎💚
Today, as we celebrate Pet Day, let’s take a moment to appreciate the unconditional love and happiness our pets bring into our lives. They’re the ones who make coming home the best part of any day, wagging tails and purrs greeting us as if we’re their world. And you know what? We are. 🏡🐱
In the spirit of giving back to our furry friends, I want to shine a spotlight on some incredible animal shelters doing fantastic work in our community. The Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe and the Pet Network Humane Society in Incline Village are two such organizations dedicated to rescuing and caring for pets in need. They provide a safe haven, medical care, and love to animals looking for their forever homes.
